For the biggest groups, Aloria Mansion is hard to beat. Set in the hills of Choulakia, it has nine en-suite bedrooms and sleeps up to 25, with a huge central pool plus two bedrooms that come with private pools of their own. Space to spread out

Villa Alta Mare, high above Leno, has a resort-sized 17 by 7 metre pool and sleeps ten, so the water never feels busy no matter how many of you there are. Villa Irilia at Faros Armenistis also sleeps ten, with an infinity-style pool and panoramic Aegean views that make the group photos easy. A few things worth planning

• Confirm sleeping arrangements early. Some rooms are doubles, some twins, and it matters when you are splitting a house.
